The Taupo Library is administered by the Taupo District Council. The best place to park when visiting the library is in the car park outside the main entrance. There are usually spaces available here even during working hours.
The library has an online page which is part of the Taupo District Council website here.
On this webpage you can access the library’s catalogue and various other services including placing holds on books if you are a library member.
The library is one of three libraries which make up the Taupo District Libraries which are all administered by the Taupo District Council. The other two libraries are in Turangi and Mangakino.
On the library website you can also download e-books which can be read of a variety of different hardware devices.
The website also offers online access to various databases for those wishing to research a range of different subjects.
Within the physical library are areas containing fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, internet access, internet calling, and a children’s area.
And of course, the library can arrange interloans for members from other libraries (including university libraries) around New Zealand.
